Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization that is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.

Leanne Musa


Leanne Musa is a fourth year at McIntire studying Accounting and IT. This summer, she interned with Deloitte Tax in the McLean office. She’s also active in other organizations like CASH and HRL. She looks forward to getting to know new and existing ASM members and keeping them updated on all things accounting at UVA. If she’s your Intermediate Accounting TA, don’t forget to say hi!



Andrew Song


Andrew Song is a second year hoping to study Accounting. He is involved in Sports Business and Cavalytics at UVA and enjoys working on personal projects involving sports statistics. He is looking forward to meeting ASM members this year.

Bonnie Zhang

Vice President

Bonnie Zhang is a fourth year at McIntire studying Accounting and doubling in Economics. This summer she interned with EY as a tax intern in the Tyson’s office. She is involved in various organizations across grounds like CASH and ASU. In addition, she is TAing for intermediate accounting this semester, so feel free to reach out. She is looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone this year!


Eeshma Narula


Eeshma Narula is a second year hoping to double major in Commerce and Cognitive Science. She works at the Institute for Business in Society at the UVA Darden School of Business and is also involved in the Indian Student Association, Virginia Consulting Group, and Smart Woman Securities. She loves to travel and hopes to visit 50 countries by the time she’s 50.


Austin Cox


Austin Cox is a third year student at McIntire studying Accounting and Finance.  This summer he interned virtually with PwC for their Start Internship.  Outside of ASM he is involved with organizations like Cav Daily and The University Singers.  He is looking forward this year to reaching out to new members and helping navigate the recruitment space in the uncertainty of the environment


Katie McDermott

Faculty Advisor

Professor McDermott was a faculty member at Georgetown before joining the Mcintire School. She has expertise in auditing and financial reporting; her research focuses on firms’ application of accounting standards, the quality of the resulting accounting information, and how that information is used in managers’ and investors’ decisions. In the classroom, Professor McDermott is passionate about developing her students into mindful, emotionally intelligent leaders.
